Soccer Clubs and Leagues

Parents today are looking for ways to teach their children positive character traits that will help with their personal development. The Life Skills Soccer Program is designed to be used with your current curriculum for rec and travel coaches. Each week a new life skill such as effort, determination, cooperation, respect, responsibility and self-control is introduced and discussed in practice for 5-8 minutes. Typically this happens right at the beginning of practice for 3 minutes with a brief intro to the life skill and then during a water break for about 5 minutes. Anothe great way to incorporate this into practice setting is invite the parents over at the end of practice to let them know what the life skill for the week is and to encourage them to talk about it during the week. This approach creates a sense of the coach and parents being on the same team for the benefit of the children.
